William made his first chalk marks of the season this afternoon. Summer is definitely on its way.
Glancing toward the top of our play set, I saw a nest perfectly perched on a wooden beam. Upon further investigation, I realized that a single blue egg was nestled in the twigs and branches.
The fact that school is over has finally set in.
Bring it on, summer!

Has William gone to be incognito? Loved your pics and what you had to say. Do you know what kind of bird it was that built the nest?
Haha! I'm not sure what type of bird built the nest. . . but there is this blackish red bird that comes into our back yard often. Maybe that's the mommy!
