Binky Bucky Bunny

Bucky is a house rabbit, and when we let him out, he often runs around, jumping up into the air and twisting his body. We thought it was just a cute little dance he did, but we did not know there was an actual name for such a move! I was looking up rabbit stuff on the internet today, and found out that the move was called a "binky". As of The Language of Lagomorphs this is what a binky is:

"The happiest rabbit expression is commonly called a "binky." It's impossible to mistake for anything else, and the first time you see one you will probably wonder if the poor thing is having a convulsion. When a rabbit binkies, it jumps into the air and twists its head and body in opposite directions (sometimes twice) before falling back to the ground. This can be done while standing in one place, or while running, which is really weird looking, and is sometimes called the "happy bunny dance." A rabbit can even turn 180^o in midair. All this is a rabbit's way of telling you straight out that it is happy and overall pleased with you and its life. Some rabbits binky a lot and some hardly at all, even if they are being treated well. Everyone has their own temperment."

We put a Webkinz shirt on Bucky yesterday, and it was just the right size!

Bucky must be a The Lord of the Rings fan because he literally started to "devour" the book.

"I'm not quite sure about these books...they may not be as tasty as The Lord of the Rings."

He finally eats carrots, fruits, and veggies! He also caught on to the whole "litter box" thing.

He often gets up on his hind legs to check things out from a higher view.

He likes to sprawl out and chill after running around and getting active.

Sometimes, he even rests on a pillow!
